This weekend was so refreshing! Friday night & Saturday morning were spent in Covington, TN at a softball tournament with my girls. I was very proud of the way they played (mostly...:)). We definitey still have work to do, but they've come a long way! I'm very proud to be their coach & thankful God has given me this opportunity. Saturday's weather was wonderful! Bubba left the tournament with a very sunburned head & nice farmer's tan. :) We celebrated my nephew's birthday with family & then had a late dinner with the McMinn's. I'm more than thankful for the family & friends God has placed in my life. I am MORE than blessed!
Sunday was wonderful too! Not only did we have an incredible morning & night in worship, but I was able to enjoy the beautiful (windy) weather!! Yesterday morning was refreshing! I love our bfg - it was mostly ladies yesterday since the men had gone on a retreat. Michelle sat in with us. Amy led us in discussion over the study that we were wrapping up - it was just a refreshing time. We are without a worship pastor right now, but the guest yesterday did an awesome job leading us into the mindset of worship for the morning service. Chad is still preaching through Ruth - a near & dear passage to (probably) every woman on Earth! Thank the Lord that he provided a kinsmen redeemer for each of us! Last night he continued the family series - still talking to the husbands, but God convicts the wives' hearts just as much I think! It was really great. Yesterday afternoon Bubba had softball practice, so I decided to read the new book that our bfg girls are reading together, and soak up some sun. I opened the top of the Jeep Jeep & enjoyed the breeze while I read. One little mistake though..... I ended up falling asleep & when I woke up, I noticed I had parked under a tree. Since it was so windy, leaves & little seedlings had dropped all in my hair & in the back seat! ha! It was still worth it... :)
I'm so thankful that God never gives up on me. I'm such a work in progress! I feel the Lord leading me in a direction that I'm more than afraid of, but he's giving me peace despite the situation. It would totally rock my world & turn it up-side-down, but sometimes that's what it takes to get clear perspective! I don't want to give up certain things, but I feel like God is leading me in that direction... I don't think it's anything immediate - but probably something that will happen over the next couple years. It's definitely not something I "want"... but God is developing the desires in my heart. We'll see...that's all I can share now.
Thankful for TWO short work weeks...and Easter in between!!
