I think Bubba and I are going to sleep in - then maybe go to lunch with Dad at S&P. Since Bubba usually has Fridays off, this has become a weekly lunch meeting for he & dad. Hope they don't mind a female at the table tomorrow. :)
So lately, the Lord has really been convicting my heart about the "fruit" in my life - or lack thereof. I want to be a woman that is known for loving the Lord & all those around me; a woman that's not afraid to step out in faith & follow whatever God has planned for me. So how frustrating it is when I have conversations like this one... I was talking with a friend today, and she started the conversation like this: "You're gonna laugh at me, but I went to a spiritual counselor today." I immediately hugged her and said, "NO WAY! I'm so proud of you!" I was immediately convicted about the fact that I had never talked to this friend about the Lord - I had assumed that she was a Christian....well, knew who God was anyways... I can't stop thinking about this conversation because I am in touch with this girl everyday, and if anybody has a chance to minister to her, I DO! So later this afternoon, as I was getting things together for tomorrow, I just started praying for her - and praying that the Lord would give me the words to say to her each day. I'm thankful for times like this where the Lord obviously waves his hands in front of my face - almost as if to say "Yoo-hooo! It's not about you!" haha Thankful for his grace in these times too...
And just an update from my last post... The Lord has worked in my heart about this whole doubt stuff... I have got to learn that my confidence can't be in myself but in what the Lord wants to do through me. I'm a work in progress...
